Local Picks

Born and raised in Central Maine, many of my days were and still are spent within the lakes and mountains the State of Maine offers. Central Maine is home to the State's Capital and possesses many of the traits that make this state so desirable. Among the wooded acres, mountains and trails to hike, and dozens of lakes and rivers to explore - you’ll find historical downtowns lined with dining, small businesses, art, retail, and a sense of community everywhere you turn. The residents of Kennebec County enjoy the educational resources, strong community, peaceful and serene surroundings, and opportunity all around them. 

Enjoy the many options for entertainment, fitness, dining, education, shopping, and more. I have some personal favorites that I would love to share with you. 

A few of my favorite local shops. Barn Boards & More is one of my favorite places to find unique thrifting goods for projects, Warren Hill Flower Farm is perfect for a beautiful arrangement, Alan Claude is a super cool local artist, and Hammond Lumber Company offers everything from building supplies to kitchen and home design. 

It is a common site to find a realtor in a local restaurant! For a quick stop or even to complete some paperwork, you can find me getting the best pizza in town,  Cushnoc Brewing on Water Street in Augusta and keep an eye on their unique specials. State Lunch is amazing and one of our favorite date night spots, you can always count on a great cocktail here too. When you're in the mood for a smoothie, smoothie bowl, or a quick lunch - JUICED in Hallowell is a must try. Sunrise Bagel is mouth watering, call ahead if you can - they're always busy! Enjoy!

The Belgrade Lakes Region offers endless opportunity for fun year-round. Offering an amazing educational experience, an event venue, or even a beautiful location for family photos the Viles Arboretum in Augusta is a great spot. Especially in the warmer months, there is so much to explore here! Some of the best fall views can be found from the Fire Tower at Mt Pisgah in Winthrop. Views can always be seen from French Mountain in Rome, just minutes from Belgrade! In the winter months, make sure to pack your boots.
