I purchased a home in August 2022 with the help of Holly Hacskaylo and I don't think it would have happened without her. When we decided to move to Maine from out-of-state we were referred to three realtors by our mortgage lender and I called Holly as the first person on the list. After a 30 minute conversation I began to get a sense of her professionalism and knowledge of the Maine real estate market. She listened to our criteria for a new home and in a few days we had come to Maine for a few week’s vacation. She took the list of potential showings and began to get showings scheduled. Over the course of the next couple weeks she met with us at the properties and was an invaluable reference by explaining what we should be noticing based on our criteria and giving us a better understanding of things like heating systems. She also provided her extensive knowledge of the surrounding lakes regions including which ones would would likely fit our preference and the nuances between things like right of way, deeded access and actual waterfront ownership. We did find a house fitting into our budget and criteria, but had to go back to Colorado shortly after viewing the house and property. Over the next several weeks she was invaluable in negotiating a much better price than listing as well as helping us navigate offers and inspections, even going so far as to meet contractors at the property in order to give us the best idea and quotes on making improvements to the property. All while we were in Colorado working to sell our home. I can’t say that the process was easy because purchasing a home while you’re selling your home never is, but Holly made the process so much easier and informative than we have had with any other realtor. She’s a true professional and as I sit here looking at the autumn leaves and lake I’m certain that we could not have found a home that we love on the lake that we wanted without her guidance and unique expertise. And, I’m certain that If we do happen to buy another property in the future we won’t have to worry about finding a better realtor.
